With each throw of the dice, you risk more and more points and the key is knowing when to say, “I’ll STOP.” Throwing big points on a turn is exciting! A game can be won on one turn of the dice! The dice are cool and its fun for all ages. The game can be played almost anywhere. I was told, “The Secret Service guys really love that game. They played it when they were up in the air, on Air Force One!” If you know someone in the military, TEN GRAND\u00ae is a great gift any time of year. It is easy to learn. Two or more players play to 10,000 points or more.<\/p>\n

\"ten_grand-1\"<\/a>How the Game got Started …<\/strong><\/p>\n

1972 –<\/strong> A friend and I invented this game I call, TEN GRAND\u00ae, but we aren’t the only ones to invent a geometric progession dice game.<\/p>\n

1975 –<\/strong> Morton Levand registers trademark TEN-TWENTY GRAND. A geometric progession dice game with dice faces of numerals instead spots.<\/p>\n

1982 –<\/strong> I talked to a lawyer who suggested that I change the faces or come up with a board that could be patented, so that I would have something marketable. I wanted to come up with something that actually improved the game, so another ten years or so went by, until I came up with the custom faces of Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 50 and 100.<\/p>\n

1988 –<\/strong> I ordered 3000 dice with Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 50 and 100 printed on the faces. I sold all 500 games! I thought, ‘Maybe I have something?” Then I started getting complaints that the faces wore off. People played it so much the printed faces wore off! That’s when I KNEW, I had something!<\/p>\n

1988 –<\/strong> I filed for the trademark TEN GRAND\u00ae but was it was rejected by the US Office of Patents and Trademarks, because a dice game called TEN-TWENTY GRAND\u00ae had already been filed in 1975 and renewed in 1985.<\/p>\n

1989 –<\/strong> I bought the game and rights to TEN-TWENTY GRAND\u00ae from Morton Levand in 1989.<\/p>\n

2010 –<\/strong> I found a company that would mold the dice with faces. The engraved dice faces are then painted. It is time consuming and somewhat expensive for game parts, but I think it’s worth it. THE DICE ARE COOL! and should last a very long time- if not forever!<\/p>\n

2010 –<\/strong> On October 10th (10\/10\/2010) ownership of the domain name “tengrand.com” transferred to me.<\/p>\n

I know there are other geometric progression dice games available but I feel I have the quintessential version of this game. I hope you enjoy playing TEN GRAND\u00ae as much as I have for all these years.
